NEW YORK STATE NAVIGATION LAWS
New York State Police assigns Troopers to marine duties that include patroling waterways throughout the Hudson Valley from early spring to late fall, enforcing the Navigation Law, Canal Rules & Regulations and Environmental Conservation Laws, assisting boaters in distress, providing search and rescue services and water security at regattas, hydroplane races and other water-related events.
